The VisitBritain Travel Journalism Awards in Memory of Bedford Pace recognize the best published articles and segments which position Britain as a contemporary and 'must-see' destination. Now in their 14th year, the awards include four categories - best magazine, best newspaper, best broadcast and best online - - as well as the overall prize.
The awards are open to North American-based writers and broadcasters. The 2010 grand prize will include a trip for two to the Heart of England with accommodation in Shakespeare Country and air provided by British Airways, our exclusive partner for this prestigious award.
The annual awards luncheon in New York City - the next one is to be held in February/March 2010 when the 2009 winners will be announced - not only provides the occasion for the award ceremony, but is when VisitBritain unveils tourism developments for the year ahead.
